Is the disk a CD-R or a CD-ROM?
Action:
1) Read the label (top) surface of the CD for text indicating if the disk is a CD-R or a CD-ROM.
2) If there is no text indicating the type of the disk, view the data surface of the disk.
NOTE: Most CD-ROM disks will have a silver metallic data surface. CD-R disks commonly have blue-green metallic or gold colored data surfaces. Some audio CDs also have a gold colored data surface.
